Basically, it's a 6-channel system. When Eric played, he sometimes had 6 different things going, several, some stereo, sent to different channels.
When Hélène Prévost played, she only deals in mono, so I duplicated the sound onto every channel. She sometimes had several sound sources playing, but because every speaker is different, and continually randomly switching, and imparts its own color/timbre, it was as if she was spatializing each sound separately. A really cool illusion.
I had the pleasure of sitting right next to her (and Eric), in the center of the space, while they practised/explored the system for a couple of hours.
